Records & Data Management-Technical Operations I Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 0-5 years experience in records management.
- Knowledge of Shuttle transition and retirement records management and processes is desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications.
- Applicant selected must be a U.S. citizen.
Responsibilities Assist all MSFC elements involved in the Transition and Retirement of Space Shuttle Records in basic determination, interface requirements, and problem resolution. Analyze various documentation listings and reports to assure proper and comprehensive identification of Space Shuttle Project Case Files.
Coordinate and interface with Shuttle prime contractors to provide assistance in properly identifying, indexing, classifying, packaging, and transferring records throughout program closeout.
Coordinate and interface with Marshall Space Flight Center Records management staff in transferring data to Records Storage Area and National Archives for the duration of Transition and Retirement.
Records and Data Management-Technical Operations II Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience in records management. (High School diploma and ten (10) years relevant experience in records management may be substituted.)
- Knowledge of Shuttle Transition and Retirement records management requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of MSFC Repository operations and records.
- Extensive knowledge of NASA records management requirements and processes.
- Knowledge of Federal records management requirements and processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications.
- Applicant selected must be a U.S. citizen.
Responsibilities Assist all MSFC elements involved in the Transition and Retirement of Space Shuttle Records in basic determination, interface requirements, and problem resolution. Participate in various groups, reviews and boards to report status and provide assessments of records management activities.
Conduct records database surveys and searches of Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) organizations to locate and identify space shuttle records.
Coordinate activity and interface with MSFC Records management staff in verification of project/contractor records and in assuring appropriate marking, scheduling, and disposition of records.
Transition Management & Integration Support Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Business.
- 10 years relevant experience in project management support.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications including Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of Shuttle transition and retirement requirements and plans is desired.
- Applicant selected must be a U.S. citizen.
Responsibilities Provide technical services needed in support of the overall management of Transition and Retirement activities at Marshall Space Flight Center. Maintain, coordinate and integrate Transition & Retirement Master Schedule. Maintain shuttle hardware & capabilities database.
Support the development and maintainance of transition plans and risk databases.
Integrate inputs from all Shuttle elements and institutional offices for reporting to the Shuttle Program Office.
Participate as a Transition Project Office representative in various working groups.
Provide support for the organization of meetings.
Space Shuttle Main Engine (SSME) Transition and Retirement Project Support Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or Business.
- Extensive knowledge of SSME Transition and Retirement requirements and plans.
- Knowledge of Shuttle Transition and Retirement requirements and plans.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications.
- Applicant selected must be a U.S. citizen.
Responsibilities Assist the transition lead in managing all SSME Transition and Retirement activities. Provide guidance and support for Transition Property Assessments and reporting metrics regarding property disposition.
Develop Space Shuttle Management Resource Transition (SMRT) Documents.
Assess the master listing of project element reports to assure a complete project case file and monitor prime contractor’s progress in dispositioning records per project direction.
Assist the Shuttle Records Transition Team in the identification, verification, and disposition of project records.
Provide oversight of supplier shutdown.
Provide data and develop status reports and presentations for various meetings and reviews.
Provide element interface support to organizations to ensure that SSME Transition and Retirement requirements are understood and to assist with resolving issues that affect the Center.
